Poultry Sales Director

Position Description

Devenish Nutrition is searching for a Poultry Sales Director that will manage and lead the poultry sales team to maximize the sales of Devenish nutritional solutions and services in the USA. This position will work closely with our Poultry Technical Team, our Research & Innovation Team as well as our Marketing team to implement sales & marketing strategies for each nutritional solution. The Poultry Sales Director will provide leadership through direct and indirect customer contact. This position will report to the Company President.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop clear strategy for the poultry Division
  • Collaborate with sales team, marketing and R&D colleagues and management to secure optimal execution of strategies.
  • Prepares Division budget, implements and evaluates the development plans for its team to keep a high standard of competence and preparedness to implement division and organizational strategies.
  • Maintain daily contact with team members.  Through this contact drives cross-pollination of overall company culture, strategy and tactic of sales.  The contact is managed namely via coaching, mentoring of schedules and training plans.
  • Create, maintain and develop connections to local market stakeholders.  Actively work on market intelligence on nutritional market connected information and influences.
  • Analyze and conclude on available customer, market and competitive data and provide feedback to its team on effectiveness of plans implementations.
  • High-level ability on the internal and external communication and cooperation as well as team-cooperation.
  • Responsible and high-level of efficacy on use of organizational resources.
  • Continuous cooperation and sharing of information and feedback with President.
  • Attend seminars, tradeshow, and exhibitions to educated and network.
Qualifying Skills & Attributes:
  • Highly driven, self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset
  • A deep technical understanding of the challenges faced by modern Poultry producers and experience in positioning feed additives towards these needs
  • Experience within management of a global sales team
  • High level of diplomacy, negotiating skills but constructive assertiveness
  • Commercial mindset and experience in project management
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to balance many different tasks and issues as any given time
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and in writing and a track record of achieving results
  • Ability to travel to support team and customers where and when needed.
