Ruminant Account Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A Ruminant Account Manager is responsible for maintaining relationships with existing customers as well as developing relationships with prospective new customers. A Ruminant Account Manager will be charged with promoting the Devenish brand awareness in an effort to deliver nutritional solutions to the dairy and beef industry. A Ruminant Account manager will be motivated to communicate directly with producers while introducing the different tools, services and technologies that Devenish has to offer. With an ethos around partnership and fulfilling the wants and needs of our customers, the Ruminant Account Manager will work directly with consultants, dealers and producer to determine which Devenish nutritional solutions bring value to their specific situation. This position will report directly to the Dairy Director. We are looking to fill this position within the Upper Midwest US.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Gain a full commercial understanding of the Devenish nutritional solutions (products, services, etc.)
  • Support selected existing customers to maintain and grow sales opportunities
  • Communicate with prospective new customers to identify mutually beneficial sales opportunities
  • Maintain consistent interactions with other members of the Ruminant Team to identify potential synergies
  • Assist in the development of new products, services, etc that might be beneficial for your customer base
  • Functional involvement with all personnel directly involved in sales of Devenish nutritional solutions
    (Research, Product Development, Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Marketing, Accounting, etc.)
QUALIFYING SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
  • Knowledge of feed, feed ingredients, feed supplements, animal husbandry and basic animal nutrition
  • Well-rounded retail sales background, preferably in Ruminant animal nutrition
  • Exceptional time management, positive communication skills, self-motivated and desire to work as part of a team
