USA Swine Sales Manager

Position Description

The USA Swine Sales Manager is responsible for strategically managing our USA Swine Account Managers in an effort to grow our Swine Division while maintaining relationships with existing customers as well as developing relationships with prospective new customers. The USA Swine Sales Manager will be charged with promoting the Devenish brand awareness in an effort to deliver nutritional solutions to the swine industry. The USA Swine Sales Manager will be motivated to communicate directly with our team and with producers while introducing the different tools, services and technologies that Devenish has to offer, while continually looking to develop new offerings that bring value to the industry. With an ethos around partnership and fulfilling the wants and needs of our customers, the USA Swine Sales Manager will work directly with each Account Manager and each producer to determine which of these items bring value to their specific situation. This position will report directly to the Swine Team Director. We are looking to fill this position within the Upper Midwest (MN, IA, IL, NE).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage, support, motivate, grow and continuously add value to the USA Swine Sales team
  • Gain a full commercial understanding of the Devenish nutritional solutions (products, services, etc)
  • Communicate with prospective new customers to identify mutually beneficial sales opportunities
  • Drive the development of new products and services that might be beneficial for our customer base
  • Identify market opportunities for Devenish directly or through best utilization of the Devenish team
  • Functional involvement with all personnel directly involved in sales of Devenish nutritional solutions (Research, Product Development, Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Marketing, Accounting, etc.)

Qualifying Skills & Attributes

  • Knowledge of feed, feed ingredients, feed supplements, animal husbandry and basic animal nutrition
  • Well-rounded sales background dealing in swine animal nutrition, working directly with producers
  • Team management, positive communication skills, motivational and desire to work as part of a team
