Devenish is happy to announce the addition of Dr. Aimee Lutz to the Devenish Ruminant Team as a Ruminant Nutritionist.
Dr. Lutz received her B.S. in Agriculture Science from Illinois State University, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition from the University of Illinois. She worked as a Post-Doc in Nutritional Physiology at Iowa State University where she gained valuable experience in grant-writing and rumen physiology. For 8 years, she was a professor of animal nutrition at South Dakota State University with a teaching-research appointment. She taught undergraduate applied and advanced animal nutrition courses as well as a graduate class in vitamins and minerals. Her research focused on maternal nutrition and implications on the developing fetus, and the influence on nutrition on composition of gain
Since 2011, Dr. Lutz has been the Manager of Ruminant Research at ADM Animal Nutrition where she directed and conducted feedlot, cow-calf, and rumen fermentation research to support existing and developing products. At Devenish, she will provide support to the Ruminant business.
Dr. Lutz will be based out of the Devenish North America Corporate Office in Fairmont, MN.
