Ruminant Technical Sales & Support

Position Description:

This Ruminant Technical Sales & Support position will have direct account responsibility and will also have responsibility to work with the team of Ruminant Nutritionists and Ruminant Account Managers to strengthen relationships with existing customers as well as developing relationships with prospective new customers. This position is charged with promoting the Devenish brand awareness in an effort to deliver nutritional solutions to the livestock industry. This Ruminant Nutritionist position will be motivated to communicate directly with producers, consultants and mills while introducing the different tools, services and technologies that Devenish has to offer. With an ethos around partnership and fulfilling the wants and needs of our customers, the Ruminant Nutritionist will work directly with each account to determine which Devenish nutritional solutions bring value to their specific situation.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Gain a full commercial understanding of the Devenish nutritional products & programs
  2. Support selected existing customers to maintain and grow sales opportunities
  3. Communicate with prospective new customers to identify mutually beneficial sales opportunities
  4. Maintain consistent interactions with other members of the Ruminant Team to identify potential synergies
  5. Assist in the development of new solutions that might be beneficial for your customer base and the livestock industry in general
  6. Functional involvement with all personnel directly involved in sales of Devenish nutritional solutions…Research, Product Development, Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Marketing, Accounting, etc.
Research, Marketing and Product Development:
  1. Participate in Ruminant Sales/Technical Meetings to determine priorities and opportunities.
  2. Work with Marketing, Sales, and Technical staff to provide reliable and accurate marketing materials as required for your customer's needs.
  3. Participate in product development discussions with Devenish Nutrition team.
  4. Identify market opportunities and discuss with Devenish Nutrition team how we can develop a solution for market needs.
  5. Work with admin and operations staff to aid in efficient customer service.
  6. Research product or service offering opportunities
Compensation & Benefits:
