The World’s number five-ranked rider, 19-year-old Bertram Allen from Co. Wexford, will line out at the final of the “Jumping in the City” Series at Shelbourne Park, Dublin on Friday week, June 26th.
Allen will be joined in the Grand Prix class by Olympic medallist Cian O'Connor, former World Champion Dermott Lennon and Tipperary's Greg Broderick, who has been Ireland's top Nations' Cup performer in 2015. Former Army rider Brian Cournane, who jumped a double clear for Ireland in the Nations' Cup of Norway at Drammen earlier this year, will travel from his new base in the UK to compete.
The Devenish Puissance will see Tipperary's Liam O'Meara and Wexford's Jason Higgins renew rivalry after they finished as joint winners of the Puissance in the Cork leg, jumping the big red wall at a height of 2 metres 15 centimetres.
The competitions in Dublin will open with the Amateur class where the winners of the Limerick leg, Aileen McDermott and Cork winner Victoria McKee will be among the favourites.
Tickets for ‘Jumping in the City’ final at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium cost €15 for adults, children under 14 are free and a Student and OAP rate of €10 will apply.
